I want to thank you and your staff for a very blessed and Spirit filled week.  I have been to several “camps” as both student and leader and have never felt the love for God and fellow man as I did this past week.  I also want to personally thank you for giving me an insight to a difficulty I was having at my church, even though you didn’t know it.  I had said I would like to talk with you about it, but you were busy and without knowing it covered the situation in one of your talks (sermons).  I’m looking forward to coming next year.  I just wish you were closer to Tampa so the family and I could visit more often.  Once again, a very heartfelt thanks and may God bless all of you and keep you in His care.

I hope you remember; I talked to you with my friend about our atheist boyfriends and her addictions.  Well I have really good news.  My boyfriend decided by the end of the night we talked that he was going to try and see if he could be a Christian, then on the 21st he realized it was the right thing.  Now he is a Christian without the constant doubts!  My friend hasn’t cut, or smoked, since camp.  Everything we prayed for really showed and everything is better now.  I wanted to thank you for all your help and guidance.

GOD bless you as you continue to reach students for Him! We have not got over Life Camp, praise the LORD!  This Sunday, I will be preaching to our church family and my title will be ‘I AM ALIVE’!!  We will show a slide presentation of our experiences at Life Camp.  Pray for this service.  GOD is moving in the hearts of our young people but our church is a traditional, conservative church, not ready for lots of change.  GOD has done amazing things and will continue to do so.  My students have informed me that we will be attending Life Camp next year, they would like to attend the same week that your students from the ROCK will attend.

I was recently talking to another youth worker from another church and explaining why I attend Life Camp.  Life Camp has enough students to make it exciting and fun to participate, but small enough to make real relationships.  All the staff are very approachable and go out of their way to build relationships with students.  Our students maintain contact with many of their new friends, which helps them to remember what GOD does at our comps.  For the price, it can not be beat! As your price includes lodging, meals, materials, and all kinds of recreation, it takes the pressure off student leaders from having to prepare and allows us to build relationships with our students and be ministered to by you and your staff!! GOD bless you for that!!

When I left camp this year I told you we were going back to Free Hope and re-invent our student ministry.  GOD is helping us do that.  GOD has added some young adults to our ‘team’ and their energies and enthusiasm is a blessing.  Thanks again for you prayers, burden for students, and your friendship.

Our kids really connected with God and each other through worship, teaching and fellowship opportunities.  I have students that are compelled to live out the gospel because of their encounter with Jesus during our week of camp.  The rec. time was a lot of fun and something different for our students.  The lake front property and all that it offered was a huge hit.  I think it was the right camp, at the right time for our students…I AM ALIVE!

p.s.  It was incredible that we won the shaving cream fight against such overwhelming odds (lol)!!!

I just wanted to thank you and your camp staff for making summer camp come ALIVE for our First Baptist Dade City Student Ministry this 2009.  Our students and chaperones have returned home with shouts of praise and excitement.  The messages you presented were very relevant to the students and to the life challenges they face.  Praise and worship time was fantastic.  The style of music got the attention of the students while the words brought them into true worship to our Lord and off the focus of themselves.  Putting into words how everyone felt about the sports and interactive activities is quite a mouthful. From the shaving cream fight between the students and leaders to can-can and water sports, the fun and excitement was non stop.  We actually had teenagers want to go to sleep at the end of each day! Shrimp, steak, crab legs, all-u-can eat fruit, do I need to say more?  We’ve never been fed so well at camp.  The meals were always well prepared, a good variety and nutritious enough to keep the students and leaders energized throughout the busy days.  Again, we thank you for a well prepared, organized, exciting and Jesus filled summer camp week.  Ya’ll really do ROCK!!
